Elijah J. "POOKEY" Fisher III, Had an vision to serve the people of Durham, N.C & Surronding areas in Funeral Service and in 1963 the vision was made "Fisher Funeral Parlor" doors opened,ever since the funeral home has been a big part of the community ,family owned for "52 Years". Pookey as he is called,He attended Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science,their he recieved his 'FUNERAL SERVICE LICENSE' which he then started his wonderful service to the community.

Mark James Fisher born and raised in Durham, N.C., Mark has been apart of the family business since a youngster being taught by his father Elijah J. "POOKEY" Fisher III. Mark is a Graduate of Hillside High School also Mark has completed the funeral director program at fayetteville technical community college to pratice Funeral Directing in the state of N.C., Mark is an active part of the community which he loves being apart of.
